Wrinkle Reduction Treatments
Facial lines develop from the repeated contraction of facial muscles during emotional expressions, and are further accentuated by the natural decrease in collagen and elastin that comes with aging. These processes make the lines more pronounced over time.
Treatments at ASC effectively reduce and prevent the formation of wrinkles, balance asymmetrical features, and can also be beneficial for certain medical conditions. These treatments yield natural-looking results, giving a rejuvenated and youthful appearance.
Due to TGA restrictions we are unable to publish the brand names of prescription medicines. At your complimentary consultation, your cosmetic nurse can freely discuss which market-leading brand is suitable for you.
Volume Replacement
Volume replacement is essential for key component in rejuvenation. As we continue to age, the volume of facial fat decreases. Additionally, fat pads shift downward due to gravity, and the fibroseptal network, which is the scaffolding for fat, weakens.
Factors contributing to volume loss include age, genetics, environmental factors such as UV exposure, and metabolic rate, which all can lead to accelerated volume loss.
This reduction in volume may result from one or more of the following:
- A decrease in collagen starting in your early 20s, you lose about 1% of collagen per year and by your late 40s, you may have 30-35% less collagen than at your peak.
- A reduction of fat.
- A decrease in bone density and mass, which typically occurs in the 40s, especially in women nearing menopause.
Benefits of volume replacement treatments
-
Add volume & fullness – Restore volume, fullness and definition.
-
Restore lost facial volume – As we age, we lose the youthful volume in our face.
-
Restore facial balance – Providing slimming, tightening and contouring effects that restore the youthful structures that have been lost.
-
Replenish & rehydrate the skin – They work by filling the spaces where volume has been lost, improving folds and wrinkles, and attracting water to hydrate the skin. Additionally, these treatments boost collagen and elastin production, enhancing skin integrity and quality.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Achieve superior results with pure, concentrated platelets!
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a natural method for anti-aging and facial rejuvenation. This scientifically validated treatment utilizes your own blood platelets, which are rich in growth factors and healing properties, to promote new cell growth. By generating new collagen and elastin, it enhances the skin's complexion, texture, and can correct and improve certain skin conditions. PRP is particularly effective in treating the area around the eyes, helping to diminish dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Benefits of PRPPRP treatments dramatically boost your natural collagen production to help stimulate a youthful glow – improving. Fine lines and wrinkles Uneven skin tone and texture Dull or dry skin Loss of volume Acne scarring Post Traumatic scars
-
How it works? Our highly trained registered nurse begins the PRP treatment by taking the client’s blood and placing it in a specialised centrifuge device. From here, we extract the most nutrient rich properties (The plasma) many injectors call this liquid Gold! The plasma component is then placed just under the skin by superficial injections. By placing these natural healing substances back into the area of concern will stimulate repair and regenerate damaged skin for a healthier and more refreshed, glowing appearance.
-
Who is this treatment suitable for? Most people benefit from PRP treatment, although there are a few medical conditions that are contraindications to treatment. However before treatment begins a consultation is undertaken to discuss your medical and cosmetic history, this will help us to determine suitability for treatment.
-
When can results be seen?PRP will begin working under the skin immediately, making new cells to help improve the surface layers of skin. Visible results will be seen between six to 12 weeks post-treatment and continue for up to 6 months. The first thing people notice is an improvement in skin turgor and elasticity. Collagen production can take up to three months to occur and the results can differ depending on the individual.
-
How many PRP sessions does one need?Depending on the size of the area, along with the desired results, we recommend a series of 3 to 4 treatments with 6-8 weeks between treatments. And there after maintains every 6-12 months when you start to notice dull texture returning.
-
How long do results last?Depending on the area and condition treated, results can last from 18 months and a series of three or more treatments can yield results for up to two years. We also recommend following our pre and post treatment guidelines which will help with longevity of the treatment.
-
How long does the procedure take? The entire procedure takes about 45 minutes to one hour. And there is little to no down time post procedure.
-
Who is not suitable for the PRP Therapy?Ladies who are pregnant, breast-feeding or trying to conceive are not suitable candidates for this particular treatment. What is Sweat?Perspiration (or sweating) is the human body’s way to regulate temperature and to cool itself down. Sweat is mostly made up of salty water, and in normal circumstances provides an evaporative cooling effect. As the moisture evaporates and disappears, the sensation of coolness quickly follows. This process however is not so simple for all people, whilst most of our bodies may experience the occasional sweaty situation such as nervous palms, some adults can sweat up to 14 litres of perspiration in just one day.
-
What causes excessive sweating? What is causing your excessive sweating will depend on the category of hyperhidrosis. There are two categories: primary and secondary. Primary hyperhidrosis is the most common, and the cause is still unknown. Primary hyperhidrosis typically starts in childhood and there is usually a family history of the condition. Secondary hyperhidrosis is when the sweating is caused by an underlying medical condition and may affect the whole body. Possible causes include hyperthyroidism, menopause, medications or obesity. Although treatment and technique is the same, dosage is individualised. This will be discussed with you during your consultation.
-
Who is hyperhidrosis best for?Hyperhidrosis affects both males and females. The most common area affected by primary Hyperhidrosis is the underarms. This treatment is best suited to those suffering from excessive sweating.
-
How often will I require treatment?Usually every 6-12 months depending on individual patient concerns and treatment.
-
How long does it take for the treatment to start working? It will generally take between 2-3 days for the injected anti-wrinkle treatment to settle into the target region. Therefore it is important during this time to refrain from massaging, rubbing or applying heavy pressure to the treatment areas. It is also best to abstain from exercise for 48 hours post treatment
-
How long do results last?Hyperhidrosis is not a permanent solution; however, patients report anywhere from 6 to 12 months relief.
-
If I get my underarms treated, will I create more sweat in other areas? No, Despite common belief, sweat is not transferred to another gland, creating further problems. Hyperhidrosis Injections regulate the over-production of sweat and it will not stimulate production in other areas.
-
What does the treatment involve? The nurse will first identify where the sweat glands are most active. This is done by applying iodine solution to the treatment area, then dusting with powder. The area turns blue/black where there is sweat. The area is marked with a surgical pen, then cleaned prior to injection. Injections are spaced approximately 2cm apart to treat the area. The needles are tiny, the injections are not deep and most patients report tolerable discomfort rather than pain.
-
Treatment preparationPlease shave underarms and avoid using over the counter antiperspirants or deodorants 24 hours before. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and non-steroidal medication, vitamin E and St. John’s Wort for at least 24 hours prior to treatment as these may increase the risk of bleeding and bruising. If you have been prescribed aspirin for a medical reason, it is best to continue this. If you have a bleeding disorder, or are taking Warfarin, discuss this with the nurse prior to receiving treatment.
-
Do I need to see a GP before treatment? It is advised to have a consultation with your GP before hyperhidrosis treatment. This is to exclude any underlying medical condition which requires treatment. Your GP will check for potential causes of secondary hyperhidrosis to avoid symptomatic treatment of hyperhidrosis without the diagnosis or treatment of the underlying disease.
-
What is the skin needling procedure like? The procedure is well tolerated. The most common sensation during the procedure is a warm, scratching feeling as the device is moved around the treatment area. You may also notice some minor discomfort on the “bonier” areas of your face, such as your hairline, forehead, and jawline.
-
Is Skin Needling Suitable for My Skin?Skin Needling is non thermal and non-invasive treatment safe for all skin tones. Skin Needling can help to treat the following skin concerns: Enlarged pores Fine lines & wrinkles Acne scarring and breakouts Pigmentation and uneven skin tone Anti-aging concerns Textured, dull skin Stretch marks Scarring
-
What are the benefits of Skin Needling?Overall Skin Rejuvenation Stimulation of collagen & elastin Stronger, healthier looking skin Reduction in fine lines & wrinkles Reduction in pore size Improved appearance of scarring Improvement of pigmentation and skin tone Improved texture and clarity Enhance the delivery and effectiveness of cosmeceutical skincare
-
How Long does the procedure take? The procedure can take 30-45 minutes depending on the area treated.
-
When can results be seen?Following the procedure, Patients may notice an immediate improvement of the smoothness and ‘glow’ of their skin. Additionally, you will continue to see improvement over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues. For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-5 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
-
How many skin needling procedures will I need? The number of treatments depends on the individual skin condition, area size and desired outcome. Will my hair grow back thicker afterwards? No. It is a common misconception that your facial hair will grow back darker or thicker after dermaplaning. Dermaplaning does not interfere with the follicular structure of the hair, thus having no effect on hair growth whatsoever. The hair will eventually grow back, but it won’t change colour or thickness.
-
Does the treatment hurt & is it safe?Dermaplaning is effective by performing a gentle scraping motion across the skin’s surface, which is entirely painless. This treatment is extremely safe when performed by a properly trained skincare professional.
-
What are the benefits of Dermaplaning treatments?Removal of build-up of dead skin cells that cause your skin to look dry, dull & textured Improved penetration of cosmeceutical skincare A great alternative for those too sensitive for peels or hydrodermabrasion Assists in a smoother makeup application Rejuvenates the skin for a fresher look & instant glow Helps to fade away acne scars Minimises the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles Non-invasive, painless with no downtime Can be performed every 4 weeks Can be combined with other treatments such as skin peels
-
How often can I have a dermaplaning treatment?Dermaplaning treatments can safely be performed every 2-4 weeks.
-
What is the benefit of adding a chemical peel with Dermaplaning?Hyperkeratosis is a build-up of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. By removing this initial layer, a chemical peel is able to penetrate deeper into the dermis resulting in a more effective treatment. The conjunction of dermaplaning and a chemical peel leaves the skin refreshed and rejuvenated. Together they promote new skin growth and target problems such as aging, sun spots and environmental damage.
-
What to do after Dermaplaning?· Avoid direct sun exposure / extreme heat for 3 days · Avoid chlorine for 1 week · Do not use scrubs or other exfoliators for 5-7 days · Apply skincare prescribed by your therapist · Use sunscreen over SPF 30+

Fat Dissolving / Lipodissolve
Fat-dissolving treatments offer a way to achieve a slimmer and more defined body contour with enduring results through a series of treatments. They target and treat stubborn fat pockets that may not respond to diet and exercise by breaking down and permanently eliminating the fat cells. The under-chin area is a common treatment area significantly reducing the appearance of a 'double chin,' leading to a more sculpted neck and jawline.
Hay Fever Treatment
Hay fever, affecting approximately 18% of Australians, presents with a spectrum of symptoms from mild to severe, including a runny or congested nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, headaches, and daytime fatigue. Often, sufferers find limited relief despite daily use of tablets and nasal sprays.
ASC offers a medical-grade hay fever treatment that is both safe and effective. This needle-free spray is administered directly into the nasal passages, potentially reducing hay fever symptoms by 60-80% by inhibiting nerve receptors in the nasal passage.
It's advisable to schedule a treatment before the onset of symptoms, but it can also be beneficial if symptoms have already begun. Typically, one or two treatments are necessary.
Relief from symptoms can last 3-6 months, ideally covering the spring and summer seasons.
This method is a viable alternative for those who have found little success with other treatments or prefer not to take daily medication. The topical application in the nasal passage aims to prevent the onset of hay fever symptoms.

-
How it works?
-

-
How Long does the procedure take?
Some patients may opt to have this type of treatment to avoid side effects they may be experiencing from oral medication and nasal sprays.
-
How do I prepare for the treatment? For optimal results we recommend performing a FESS® nasal & sinus wash gentle strength 1 hour prior to your treatment appointment. These can be purchased from most pharmacies. Performing the nasal rinse prior to treatment allows the medication to have better contact with the nasal passage, and in turn, allows more of the product to reach and target the nerves that trigger your hay fever symptoms. Do not use any nasal sprays for 24hours prior to the procedure.
-
What is the treatment process like and is it painful? The process is very quick and without any discomfort. The product is sprayed into each nostril using an atomiser designed specifically for the nasal passage. No needles or injections required.
-
What is the recovery process? There is no recovery time required with this treatment and you can resume normal activities immediately following treatment (keep in mind the after care process).
-
When will I see results from treatment? The onset of results will vary from patient to patient due to severity of symptoms, the dose used and individual patient factors. Patients may begin to notice relief from their allergy symptoms one to two weeks following treatment.
-
Are there any side effects? The treatment is very safe and effective. No side effects have been reported after this treatment.
-
How many treatments will I need?Often patients opt to have one treatment at the commencement of hay fever season. Some patients will have a repeat treatment after 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the severity of the hay fever season and their symptoms.
-
Aftercare InstructionsAvoid blowing your nose for 4 hours post treatment Do not use nasal sprays for 4 hours post treatment No vigorous exercise for 4 hours post treatment

-
How it works?
-

-
What is Sweat?Perspiration (or sweating) is the human body’s way to regulate temperature and to cool itself down.

Additionally, you will continue to see improvement over the course of several days and weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after a treatment as collagen production continues. For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-5 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
-

What do I do after receiving a chemical peel?Depending on the type of peel, you may notice that the skin is more red than usual for a few hours afterwards, you may also notice that the skin feels tight or dry and or you may experience some mild flaky skin for a few days. It is important not to pick or peel any skin, but to let any flaking skin fall off naturally. It is important to use the skincare prescribed by your therapist post treatment to ensure the best possible results. - Avoid excessive heat to the area such as hot showers, exercise, saunas, spas for 24 hours - Avoid using any exfoliants on the skin for 5-7 days - Avoid waxing or plucking the area treated for 10 days - The use of an SPF 50+ every day is essential - Only use Cosmeceutical skincare prescribed from your Skin Therapist
-
How many peels will I need? The number of peels required to see results depends on the condition being treated. If you are treating concerns such as sun damage or acne, multiple peels will be required. Some improvement will be seen after each peel, but it typically takes a series of 6-8 peels to see the full effect.
-
Can I combine peels with other treatments?A selection of our Medical Grade Peels can be safely be combined with other skin treatments including Hydrodermabrasion, Dermaplaning, LED Light Therapy and Micro-needling.

What are the symptoms of hay fever? The most common symptoms of hay fever sufferers are nasal symptoms such as congestion, runny nose or blocked nose, sneezing, nasal itching, sinus pain or discomfort and loss of smell. Eye itching, eye redness, eye watering, headaches and even daytime lethargy are common symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
-
What are the benefits? Most hay fever sufferers will take hay fever medication daily, especially during the spring and summer months when airborne grass pollens are most prevalent. Windy days can also circulate a large amount of pollen, increasing the symptoms for allergic rhinitis sufferers on those days. This treatment is an effective alternative, they provide long-term relief without the need to take a daily tablet and have no reported side effects.
-
Who is suitable for this treatment?Treatments are suitable for those who have not achieved satisfactory relief from other available treatment options. This treatment suits patients who want a longer-term solution to their hay fever symptoms.
